HRFS 2010 Film "Presumed Guilty" Making Headlines With Legal Battle

Presumed Guilty, the POV film featured in The Center for Social Media's 2010 Human Rights Film Series, made news recently when a federal judge ruled that the film be pulled from theatres after one of the witnesses featured in the film filed a claim saying that his privacy had been violated.  According to the POV website, an appeals court reversed the decision as it conflicts with Mexico's constitutionally granted freedom of information, but the rulings are only temporary for now.

You can watch video from our October 21st event featuring a screening of the film and panel discussions on our YouTube channel, and read more about the film and the legal case on the POV website.
