Vote on Every Human Has Rights Media Awards

Our friends at Internews have announced a great public media project titled Every Human Has Rights Media Awards, organized on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). They have asked the public to vote on the Public Prize.

Internews explains here:

Vote online to select the most eye-opening report, from a selection of 30 winning stories from journalists and bloggers around the world.

The Public Prize will be awarded on 6 December 2008 in Paris, France during a ceremony supported by The Elders, the EHHR campaign for the 60th Anniversary of the UDHR. Award winners will be assisted by Internews to attend and report on other human rights related events in the lead up to the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration on December 10, 2008.

The 30 finalists have been selected by a distinguished international professional jury of human rights and media experts from 482 applications focusing on 108 countries.
