Public media are still very important, but not nearAIR logoly as important as they used to be, according to an Association of Independents in Radio and Independent Television Service (AIR/ITVS) study discussed by CSM fellow Jessica Clark. About half mostly work with public radio/TV today, while five years ago, nearly three-quarters did. For both, online venues have offered money-making opportunities. The study provides a long-awaited, detailed picture of the relationship between freelance/independent producers and public media.
